From Motors to Marinades: Tomahawk Heats Up This August
March 31, 2026
There’s something special cooking in Tomahawk this summer—and it’s not just on the water.
The 46th Annual Antique Outboard Show is already a Northwoods favorite, but in 2026 it’s getting an extra dash of flavor (and a whole lot of fun) with a visit from Midwest Grill'n stars Mad Dog and Merrill!
🔥 Lights, Camera… Grill!
On Wednesday, August 5, the famous grillmasters will be filming a live episode right at SARA Park—and you’re invited to be part of the action. That’s right… free admission and a chance to see a real TV show come to life in Tomahawk!
If you’ve never seen them before, Mad Dog & Merrill aren’t your average chefs. Their show blends mouthwatering recipes with humor, music, and plenty of crowd interaction. With over 30 years of grilling experience, they’ve built a loyal following by making cooking approachable, entertaining, and just a little bit wild.
🚤 A Tradition That Keeps Growing
Of course, the grilling is just one piece of the puzzle. The Antique Outboard Show has been a staple in Tomahawk for decades, drawing collectors and enthusiasts from all over the country.
Taking place August 4–7, 2026, this event celebrates the craftsmanship and history of vintage boats and outboard motors. You’ll find everything from beautifully restored classics to rare engines, plus demonstrations, a swap meet, and plenty of opportunities to chat with passionate collectors.
🌲 The Perfect Northwoods Combo
Where else can you spend your day admiring antique boats, strolling along the water, and then stumble upon a live TV grilling show?
That’s the magic of summer in Tomahawk.
Whether you’re a longtime attendee or planning your first visit, this year’s show is shaping up to be one you won’t want to miss. Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and maybe even bring your camera—because you never know when you might end up on TV.
We’ll see you at the lake… and by the grill!
